The Monaco striker has been signed by Madrid for £ 71 million, thus making him one of the world’s most expensive players. He was the best player at the World Cup and this was acknowledged by the 23-year-old winning the Golden Boot award. He scored five goals and helped Columbia reached the quarter-finals of the competition. Rodriguez was also wanted by the likes of Manchester United, but the entry of Real Madrid made it difficult for every other club to sign him.
