PORTUGUESE FORWARD CLOSE TO UNITED MOVE

Latest reports from England reveal that Manchester United looking to beef up the midfield with new additions to the team. English tabloid  Daily Expressclaims that the club are closing in on the transfer of Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes.

 

The Sporting Lisbon midfielder has been one of the most talked about player in the transfer window.  The attacking midfielder had been linked with a move from the Portuguese side after his record breaking season.

Fernandes scored 31 goals in all competitions and proved that he is capable of performing at the highest level.

 

During this period the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool have also been linked with the centre midfielder.

 

However, the report claims that both clubs have decided against the transfer leaving the Red Devils as the sole favourites for the player.

 

The midfielders’ agent has agreed on a move which would see him swap Lisbon for Manchester. Fernandes is regarded as one of the best midfielders in the Portuguese league.

 

The Portugual international is thought to be excited about the prospect of moving to United and playing for one of the biggest teams in the world.

 

From a  Manchester United view point, the signing of Fernandes will enable the club posses one of the most complete midfielders in world football.

 

Manchester United have already spent close to £100 million on transfers already and this fee and the club are looking to bring more players to the club.

 

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has also been linked to the club in recent weeks.  It is believed that Manchester United are one of the few clubs that can afford his wages and the player feels comfortable returning to a top club in England.

 

It remains to be seen if the club would be able to pull-off these transfers.
